Proof: Great Workplaces Are Better

The website GreatPlaceJobs just released an update of their Workplace Layoffs and Employment Study. The new findings, which consist of data from the first half of 2009, continue to clearly demonstrate that the biggest employers are not necessarily the best.

 

A shocking 86% of the Fortune 100 largest companies have laid off workers since the recession started in early 2008. The study shows that their layoff rate was almost twice that of a group of companies recognized as Great Workplaces
 
Focusing your job search on great workplaces is clearly the best strategy if you want to ensure that you won’t be back on the job hunt in the near future.
